My painting Daydreaming is inspired by the classic children’s book The Story of Ferdinand. The story revolves around a young bull who declines to engage with matadors in the bull ring in favor of spending time peacefully admiring the beautiful flowers. It is a gentle reminder to to me to decline conflict and more fully celebrate the beauty of the world around me.
Over one hundred volunteers staff the Coors Art Gallery during the Stock Show and special events such as the Red Carpet Reception. Volunteers come from across the front range, drawn by their love for the art show as well as their dedication to raising funds for the National Western Scholarship Trust, to which the Coors Western Art Exhibit & Sale is the largest contributor.
