The original settlers of this ranch just outside Silverthorne, CO, chose one of the most picturesque places to settle. Painted on location en plein air, it is one of many I have done of this place over the past 30 years. A huge gravel pit is now within 100 years of the barn. I hope this historic place will survive.
Over one hundred volunteers staff the Coors Art Gallery during the Stock Show and special events such as the Red Carpet Reception. Volunteers come from across the front range, drawn by their love for the art show as well as their dedication to raising funds for the National Western Scholarship Trust, to which the Coors Western Art Exhibit & Sale is the largest contributor.
