Much of my time sourcing material to paint is traveling up and down rivers, searching out subjects who project a different era … flannel shirts, old canvas hats, hip waders, split cane rods, and a family creel. They’re not easy to find, but they are there. Like any good subject, it requires time, effort, and dedication to find the best.
Over one hundred volunteers staff the Coors Art Gallery during the Stock Show and special events such as the Red Carpet Reception. Volunteers come from across the front range, drawn by their love for the art show as well as their dedication to raising funds for the National Western Scholarship Trust, to which the Coors Western Art Exhibit & Sale is the largest contributor.
