Artists > Ouida Touchon > Belle’s Corset
A small variable edition using a combination of techniques including offset relief printing, linoleum block printing and hand coloring.
This is a rendition of an 1890’s corset worn by women to control the form of their bodies to standards that were unrealistic but attractive for the times. Belle tucks a small derringer into hers.
Over one hundred volunteers staff the Coors Art Gallery during the Stock Show and special events such as the Red Carpet Reception. Volunteers come from across the front range, drawn by their love for the art show as well as their dedication to raising funds for the National Western Scholarship Trust, to which the Coors Western Art Exhibit & Sale is the largest contributor.
