MIGRATION
Iâ??ve always been in wonder and awe of MA Natureâ??s migrations. How do the animals know when to travel and their path to take? How do they navigate on this journey? I think it is amazing that an animal can come and go, sometimes over thousands of miles for the summer and winter seasons, to the same locations of their birth.
I sculpted â??Migrationâ? to show when the seasonal movements start, the animals travel through all kinds of weather above and below the clouds. They travel through the day and through the night to reach their final destination.
The patina fades from light to dark to represent the transition from daylight to darkness.
Over one hundred volunteers staff the Coors Art Gallery during the Stock Show and special events such as the Red Carpet Reception. Volunteers come from across the front range, drawn by their love for the art show as well as their dedication to raising funds for the National Western Scholarship Trust, to which the Coors Western Art Exhibit & Sale is the largest contributor.
