I am an artist immersed in the landscape. I paint as a way of somehow assimilating the landscapes, people, and objects that I love so intensely. I love to work in acrylic, watercolor, and india ink, depending on the circumstance. I am frequently inspired by pop art, abstract expressionism, and abstract essentialism. I find that Georgia O’Keefe and I are constantly staring at the same rock, just a few years apart.

BA in Archaeology from Columbia University, New York

PHD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz
